Chibok-1-600x400
The Bring Back Our Girls Campaigners, who are today staging a protest match to mark the second anniversary of the abduction of over 219 girls from Chibok, Borno State, by Boko Haram, have been blocked from reaching the State House by security agencies.

The following tweets from one of the campaigners at the protest show that they are undeterred by this. Co-founder of the Bring Back Our Girls Campaign is credited by one of the tweets as saying, “We do not seek to enter the Villa, we only want to exercise our right of citizenship.”

Yesterday, just in time for the second year anniversary of the abduction of the girls, a recent video showing some of the girls was released by the CNN renewing hope that they would be returned to their loved ones.
